Mum is single, that's a fact.
Our mother gave us life and unconditional love at birth.
But why is it sometimes difficult in adulthood to have a relationship full of respect and love with your mother.
Would you like to know why?
There is only one answer, because you didn't cut the umbilical cord when you grew up.
This is sometimes hard to admit or say out loud, but it is the only plain fact that is true. Of course, we look for excuses and put the responsibility on our mothers, mainly because it is easier. I myself have often spoken about how it got on my nerves listening to her complain. Sometimes I did not understand her decisions, her way of life, her way of thinking.
And that is exactly the right thing to do!
It's normal to think differently, because we were born in different periods, we have different views, we have a mother-daughter relationship that is not always friendly. But if it is so easy to explain, then why is there sometimes so much misunderstanding on both sides?.
There is only one answer, because you didn't cut the umbilical cord when you grew up.
Do you know how many people who come to me for coaching tell me that they are in daily contact with their mother, either on the phone or physically. Even when the person is 50 years old.
Now a simple question for you who read this blog:
WHEN YOU BECOME INDEPENDENT, OR YOU CAN HAVE A BEAUTIFUL, FULFILLING RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MOTHER, WHO YOU HEAR FROM EVERY DAY, OR. PHYSICALLY IN TOUCH WITH EACH OTHER?
My answer: NO
WHY?
Because it means you're not living your life.
Because that means taking it upon yourself to “tell” an older person how to live.
Because it means you don't take responsibility for your own life, and instead “hang around” someone's neck every day.
Because that means you have nothing intelligent to say.
Because that means you are giving a person who is no longer legally responsible for you the right to interfere in your life.
Because that means letting her play the role of victim sometimes, and stopping her from taking responsibility for her own life.
Because that means you expect something from it “nonstop”.
Because that means you are not brave enough to go out into the world on your own, to gain experience.
Because it means you don't value your current family, but live in a past where your primary family was your centre.
SO WHY CUT THE UMBILICAL CORD WHEN YOU ENTER ADULTHOOD!

Because life becomes wonderful when you, as a daughter or son, become fully independent, take responsibility in all areas of your life.
Because your mother deserves to become a person first again, not to have her mission remain a mother.
Because your mother and you are two wholes, each with a life of their own. And together they can only work as two wholes.
WHO OPENED MY EYES?
My husband Gregor, and for that I am eternally grateful. Gregor comes from a family of 11 children, so he knows exactly what it means to cut the umbilical cord.
He said to me one day, Petra, is it normal that you call your mother every morning. Why don't you give her space, why don't you let her breathe, why don't you let her take responsibility for her own challenges. Why do you not let yourself breathe, why do you not focus on your family, why do you want to change her, she is perfect in her world, she is unique, that is why you love her.
AND RES
Since I started focusing on myself and personal growth, my relationship with my mother has been wonderful. We both have our own lives and when we see each other we have a lot of “smart things to say” to each other because there is no time to do, complain and talk about unimportant things.
WHAT CAN YOU GIVE YOUR MUM FOR MOTHER'S DAY IF YOU'RE AN ADULT?
Cut the umbilical cord and give her back the life she had before she had you❤.
For those of you who find this difficult, start like this:
MOTHER, I BLESS YOU WITH LOVE AND I RELEASE YOU.
But if your mother has already died and you are still emotionally attached to her or miss her too much, then here's what they say:
MOTHER I BLESS YOU WITH LOVE AND LEAVE YOU IN THE PAST
And something wonderful will happen.
